Patients who have granted an esthetic demand tend to worry about other esthetic defects one by one. Therefore, they always have an esthetic need to repeat treatments. They wish to get not only visible beauty but invisible beauty such as fresh breath.
80% of Japanese think about oral malodor to a certain extent and 20% of them seriously worry about it. To deodorize oral malodor is an important desire for the people to have aesthetic dentistry. I will introduce Honda’s method to deodorize oral malodor clearly and safely with dedicated breath care goods.
Many patients worry about halitosis even if they do not generate odor. These patients are oral malodor syndrome and they need further treatment such as instruction of lifestyle and oral care habits, care of anxiety and psychotherapy. This method is also able to lead to remission with comprehensive therapy.
I will present the facts of oral malodor syndrome and treatment results.
